Harbor Lofts

The buildings were built between 1905 and 1914 and are a unique part of the city’s history. The site has convenient access to all shopping services and is served by public transportation and has good vehicular access to Logan Airport and the city of Boston.
The Harbor Loft Housing project was in the first phase of a comprehensive development scheme to upgrade the entire harbor area. The site now includes North Shore Community College, the Heritage State Park and Mariana, and a commercial office park. Mr. Singleton played an active role in conceiving this development package and maintains an ongoing relationship with the city to ensure its implementation. Construction began in 1980 and was completed in the fall of 1982. There are 358 housing units in the Harbor Lofts complex, which include 8 efficiency, 297 one-bedroom and 53 two-bedroom apartments.
